Kathmandu, October 9, 2026 — The Central Coordination Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is scheduled to meet at 11 am today at the party’s central office in Parisdanda to discuss procedures for implementing the party’s general convention schedule.
Party spokesperson Prakash Jwala said the meeting would discuss both the convention procedures and a socialist awareness campaign announced by senior leader Jhalanath Khanal.
“The meeting will approve the procedures related to the convention schedule. Gatherings are more frequent during the Dashain-Tihar period, and we are planning to conduct the campaign with that in mind,” Jwala said.
Jwala added that the committee would decide whether to seek clarification from Khanal over his announcement of the campaign.
At a meeting held on Asoj 6, the committee had decided to run the campaign for two months, from Asoj 15 to Mangsir 15.
